David Ware, CFA started his career in venture capital with Investors In Industry (3i) Plc which was an excellent proving ground for balancing the risk/reward characteristics of projects and portfolios. Subsequent portfolio experience was gained at Shell and Fidelity International and most recently at the Bank of Butterfield in Bermuda. This array of international investment management experience includes both public equity and bond mutual funds, some rated by Standard & Poor's, the international rating agency and which received offshore performance awards. Investment management experience also includes corporate pension funds and insurance captive accounts. This broad experience has provided an excellent insight into the vagaries of the markets and the potential pitfalls to avoid that can be an invaluable asset to family office clients.
